HOW TO PLAY

FLIER is a new global fantasy game built for the next generation of fans that want to engage with sports casually, across multiple sports/leagues that is mobile first and reward driven.

The platform blends fantasy sports with collectible card mechanics and light gameplay loops to create a daily reason to return.

Fantasy, but simpler, more playful, and always on.

CREATING A LINEUP

From the Home screen, tap "Edit Lineup" and choose your sport.
You'll see all the players and teams with upcoming fixtures that week.

1

Drag and drop players and a team card into the matching lineup slots.

2

As you build, the app shows projected FPts (the sum of each player's season average so you can gauge your squad's strength)

3

Short on time? Hit Auto-Fill and the app slots in the highest-projected available players for you.

4

Tap "Save Lineup" when you're happy. Your entry is now live for that contest.

5

You can swap players in and out right up until their match starts. Once a fixture kicks off, that slot locks for the week.

You only need one slot filled to enter a contest. Empty slots just score zero. But filling every position gives you the best chance of stacking up points.

DAILY FREE PACK

Every day you can claim a free pack from the Home screen. A countdown timer shows when your next pack is ready once it hits zero, tap "Claim Pack" to open it. The contents improve as your XP level goes up, and higher XP levels also shorten the wait between packs.

MY TEAM

Your collection lives here. Browse, sort and filter by grade, position or team. Tap any card to zoom in, then swipe to check stats, training progress and season history.

You can also Quick Sell cards you don't need. Long-press to select multiple cards at once. Please note quick sells are permanent, once complete the card is gone and you get coins in return.

MARKETPLACE

SELLING

Tap a card, hit "Sell," set your price and listing duration. Minimum prices depend on card grade:

Card Grade Minimum Price
Elite 5,000 coins
Gold 1,200 coins
Silver 300 coins
Base 100 coins

You can bulk-list by long-pressing multiple cards in the Sell tab. Cards in your active lineup or currently training can't be listed. While a card is on the marketplace, you can't use it in lineups or train it. All sales are final.

BUYING

The marketplace is entirely peer-to-peer so every listing comes from another fan. Search kicks in after three characters. You can filter by:

  • Sort: Expiring Soon, Price (Low/High), FPTs (High to Low), Recently Listed
  • Position, Rating, Training Tier, Collection, Team

Tap a card to see its price and time remaining, then hit "Buy Now" if you've got the coins. All purchases are final.

IN-APP PURCHASES

In-app purchases are completely optional. They give you virtual items, we do not guarantee better results, higher rankings or more wins. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, are final, non-refundable, and have no cash value outside the app. If you have questions about a purchase, contact Apple or Google support or reach out through the Flier account page.

SCORING

Your players and team earn Fan Points (FPTs) for what they do in real matches. The scoring tables below cover every sport in Flier. Training boosts stack on top of these base values.Training boosts stack on top of these base values.

Action Slots
Kick (effective) +3
Handball (effective) +2
Tackle +4
Hitout +1
Goal +6
Free kick against -3

Goal Conceded is the only negative team action. Picking teams with a clean sheet chance is one of the best ways to avoid giving back points.

TRAINING BOOSTS

Trained players earn bonus FPTs on specific attributes. The boost stacks directly on top of the base value:

Card Grade Card Grade Minimum Price
Bronze +1 FPTs A bowler with Bronze on Wickets earns 13 instead of 12
Silver +2 FPTs An AFL midfielder with Silver on Tackles earns 6 instead of 4
Gold +3 FPTs An NRL back with Gold on Tries earns 11 instead of 8

LIVE SCORING

FPTs update closely to real-time as matches are played (Data depending on Data Sports Group availability). Final scores are locked once a match concludes, with any adjustments applied based on official rulings.

Tips:

  • Fill every slot: Empty positions earn nothing, so even a low-projected player beats a blank
  • Trained players are significantly stronger than untrained ones at the same grade. Prioritise training your starters

DATA & SCORING PROVIDER

All player and team statistics used to calculate Fan Points (FPts) within the Flier application are sourced exclusively from Data Sports Group (https://datasportsgroup.com/). Scoring outcomes derived from the Data Sports Group feed are deemed final upon confirmation.

Users acknowledge that certain statistics may be recorded, categorised or calculated differently by Data Sports Group compared to official league bodies, broadcasters or other third-party data providers. Such variances shall not constitute grounds for dispute or score adjustment.

Flier reserves the right to manually override or correct scoring outcomes in the event that a data error, feed discrepancy or misattributed statistic is identified. Any such corrections will be applied at Flier's sole discretion and are considered final.

By participating, users accept these terms subject to any corrections made by Flier as the sole and authoritative source for all in-game scoring.

DIVISIONS

Flier's competitive structure is a promotion/relegation league system. Every fan starts at the bottom and works their way up based on weekly performance.

HOW IT WORKS

When you sign up, you're placed into Level 1 (Playground) alongside other fans. Each game week, you will compete to earn the most FPts from your lineups. At the end of the week, the standings determine who is promoted, who stays, and who drops down.

PROMOTION & RELEGATION

Finishing Position Result
1st - 3rd Promoted to the next division
4th - 14th Stay in your current division
15th - 20th Relegated to the division below

Note: Level 1 has no relegation. You can't drop below the starting division. Level 12 is the maximum promotion.

THE 12 DIVISIONS

When you sign up, you're placed into Level 1 (Playground) alongside other fans. Each game week, you will compete to earn the most FPts from your lineups. At the end of the week, the standings determine who is promoted, who stays, and who drops down.

GAME WEEK SCHEDULE

A typical game week runs from Monday morning to Sunday night. After the final fixtures wrap up, divisions are recalculated and your new placement is confirmed (usually by Monday morning).

TIEBREAKERS

If two fans finish the week on the same FPts total, the fan who registered their account first gets the higher position.

GLOBAL LEADERS LEADERBOARD

Separate from divisions, there's a weekly leaderboard that ranks every fan playing that week — regardless of which division they're in. The top 2,000 finishers each week earn coin prizes. A great way to benchmark yourself against the whole player base, not just the others in your division.

TRAINING

Training permanently boosts how many FPts a player earns for specific actions. A trained player is flat-out better than an untrained one at the same grade — and that boost stays with the card forever, even if you sell it.

HOW TRAINING WORKS

Each position in your squad has one training slot. You can train one player per position at a time. For example, one Batter, one Bowler, one Defender, etc., all running simultaneously.

There are three training tiers:

Tier Slots to Complete Boost Earned
Bronze 5 +1 FPTs per trained attribute
Silver 5 +1 FPTs per trained attribute
Gold 5 +1 FPTs per trained attribute

Complete all three tiers (15 slots total) and that player gets a permanent +3 FPts boost on the chosen attribute. That adds up fast — A bowler with Gold training on Wickets goes from 12 FPts to 15 FPts per wicket!

TIME AND COST

At base XP level, each training slot takes 24 hours. You can pay coins to fast-track if you don't want to wait:

Tier Max Fast-Track Cost per Slot
Bronze 24 coins
Silver 48 coins
Gold 72 coins

Going from untrained to fully Gold-trained costs a maximum of 720 coins if you fast-track every single slot.

RULES AND RESTRICTIONS

  • Training boosts are permanent, they stay with the player even after a sale or trade on the marketplace
  • A player in training can't be sold until the current slot finishes, or you fast-track it
  • You can only train one player per position at a time, but different positions can train in parallel
  • Your XP level determines which tiers you can access - higher levels unlock Silver and Gold
  • Trained players show boosted FPts on their card and in marketplace listings, making them worth more to buyers

TRAINING TIPS

Pick attributes that match what the player does best:

  • Soccer: Goals for forwards, Tackles for defenders, Assists for midfielders
  • Cricket: Wickets for bowlers, Runs for batters
  • AFL: Goals for forwards, Tackles for midfielders, Kicks for defenders
  • NRL: Tries for backs, Tackles for forwards
